Major Title is a 1990 golf sports game developed by Irem, first launched on arcade platforms and ported to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1992. It was released in North America under the name *The Irem Skins Game*. The game uses a mixed camera perspective: before hitting, players view from a third-person angle behind the golfer; after the shot, it switches to a top-down view to track the ball’s flight. Its swing mechanics are relatively simplified: players select the vertical hit angle via a vertical swing meter to set backspin or topspin, choose shot power from 16 power meter levels before hitting, and can apply draw or fade by adjusting their stance. Four golfers with unique skills are available: Power Player, All-Rounder, Technical Player, and Magician. Each golfer’s skill set affects performance on specific shot types. Game modes include Tournament, Match Play, Stroke Play, and Prize Money Mode, among others. In Japan, the arcade version of *Major Title* was ranked the 9th most successful arcade game of the month by *Game Machine* magazine on April 15, 1990. Notably, the game’s development team left Irem to found their own studio Nazca, and released *Neo Turf Masters* — a golf game highly similar to *Major Title 2* — on the Neo Geo platform in 1996.
