Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden is a fighting game released by Bandai on March 20, 1993, for the Super Famicom. As the first fighting title in the Dragon Ball Z series, it introduced character voice acting for a more immersive battle experience. Its 1v1 combat system, similar to Street Fighter II, lets players move freely on the ground and in the air while unleashing ki blasts and other skills. It sold 1.3 million copies in its first three months, a huge commercial success.
