The game follows Hewlett, a wizard's apprentice who accidentally unleashes his master's collection of wild, chaotic creatures. Players control Hewlett to capture and lock up the escaped monsters and restore order. It features four worlds: Sand Land, Wet World, Plastic Place and Future World. Each world has 8 standard levels, totaling 32, plus 32 hidden levels for a grand total of 64 levels. Hewlett wields a magic wand to stun enemies. Once stunned, players can pick them up and return them to the basement. The goal of each level is to catch all enemies while collecting rewards like extra lives, score boosts and special abilities.
