Justice League Task Force is a 2D fighting game developed by Sunsoft and published by Acclaim, released in 1995 for the Super Nintendo (SNES) and Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. The SNES version was co-developed by Blizzard Entertainment, while the Genesis version was co-developed by Condor, Inc. (later Blizzard North). Based on DC Comics' Justice League, the game lets players choose superheroes like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, The Flash and Aquaman to fight. Its story follows villain Darkseid's attack on Earth: players control a Justice League member, battle other heroes, uncover the truth that they've been replaced by robot duplicates, and finally face Darkseid. Stages include classic locations like Atlantis, Gotham City and Metropolis. Though the game has solid character design and scene faithfulness, it received mostly negative reviews after launch due to poor controls and limited moves.
