GP-1 Heavy Motorcycle Racing 1 is a motorcycle racing game developed by Genki and published by Atlus, released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1993. Themed around the WGP 500CC class races of the era, it lets players choose from six high-performance heavy bikes with distinct specs, tackle 13 real-world global tracks, and aim for the overall points championship.
It features Exhibition and Season modes. Exhibition mode supports two-player head-to-head racing, while Season mode pits players against 15 rivals across 13 tracks, with prize money used to upgrade and tune bike performance. Each track is based on real-world circuits, with minor in-game adjustments.
Players can select one of six engineers, whose skills affect bike performance upgrades. Though differences between engineers are subtle, their choice still impacts race outcomes. The soundtrack, composed by Masanao Akahori, adds a dynamic, high-energy vibe to races.
With realistic track design and varied game modes, GP-1 Heavy Motorcycle Racing 1 delivers an immersive motorcycle racing experience for players.
