Joe & Mac 2: Lost in the Tropics is an action platformer released by Data East for the SNES in 1994. Known in Japan as *Tatakae Genshijin 3: Shuyaku wa Yappari Joe & Mac*, it follows cavemen Joe and Mac on a quest to recover their village chief’s stolen crown from the villain Gork. Players must collect seven Rainbow Stones, traverse jungles, snowy mountains, swamps, and volcanic ruins, and defeat dinosaurs, rival cavemen, and giant level bosses.
Gameplay includes collecting coins to buy items like health-restoring meat in Tiki Village, plus decorating your own village hut. A password system saves progress, and a free-roam map lets players pick levels or revisit completed stages for extra coins and items.
The game supports single-player and two-player co-op, with Joe and Mac each having limited lives and continues. Bright, colorful visuals, a unique soundtrack, and a lighthearted, humorous tone make it perfect for retro action game fans.
