Klax is a puzzle game developed and released by Atari Games in 1990. Players catch colored tiles rolling off a conveyor belt with a paddle at the bottom of the screen, move it left and right, then drop tiles into a 5-column well below (max 5 tiles per column). Match 3+ same-colored tiles horizontally, vertically, or diagonally to clear them and score points. It features 100 levels grouped in sets of 5, with the option to skip levels for higher difficulty. As you progress, tile speed and color variety increase to boost challenge. Thanks to its unique mechanics and addictive gameplay, Klax gained widespread popularity after launch and was ported to many platforms, including NES, Atari 2600, and Game Boy.
