Steel Empire is a GBA port of the cult classic steampunk shoot-'em-up (shmup) originally released on the Sega Genesis. Set in a 19th-century world of steam technology, players pilot either the nimble 'Etopirica' biplane or the heavy 'Zappellon' airship. The game is a horizontal scroller where you battle the Motorhead Empire's fleets of battleships, trains, and floating fortresses. It features a unique level-up system based on collecting experience items. The GBA version faithfully recreates the sepia-toned film aesthetic and intense bullet-hell action of the original.
