World Heroes is a fighting game developed by Alpha Denshi (later renamed ADK) and co-published by SNK. It first launched on the Neo Geo MVS arcade platform on July 28, 1992. The story centers on Dr. Brown, who uses a time machine to gather legendary warriors from all historical eras for a fighting tournament to determine the strongest fighter in history. Players can choose from multiple characters including Hattori Hanzō, Fūma Kotarō, Kim Dragon, and Jeanne, each with unique skills and moves. The game uses a three-button layout for punch, kick, and throw; holding punch or kick buttons delivers stronger attacks. Besides the standard fighting mode, it features a "Death Match" mode with arenas full of traps like spiked walls, landmines, and burning ropes, boosting challenge. It was a commercial success after release and ported to multiple platforms, including the Super Nintendo (SNES) and Sega Mega Drive/Genesis.
