Madden NFL '95 is an American football video game released by Electronic Arts in 1994 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). As the fifth entry in the Madden NFL series, it was the first to secure official licenses from both the NFL and NFL Players Association (NFLPA), allowing use of real team names, logos and player names. It faithfully recreates 1994 NFL rosters and stats, offers single-player and multiplayer modes with exhibition, full season and playoff options. It features a top-down perspective, diverse offensive and defensive plays, customizable tactics and adjustable player positions. The cover shows John Madden with two NFL players: Dallas Cowboys right tackle Erik Williams and San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Karl Wilson. Praised at the time for its realistic gameplay and rich features, it is regarded as one of the best American football games of the 16-bit era.
