Fatal Fury 2 (Japanese: Garou Densetsu 2: Aratanaru Tatakai) is a fighting game released by SNK in 1992. As the second entry in the "100-Mega Shock" series, it features vastly improved graphics and controls, plus upgraded signature mechanics like the two-plane system and super special move system.
**Story**
After Geese Howard’s defeat in the first game, a mysterious nobleman takes over to host a new "King of Fighters" tournament. Fighters from around the world are invited, while a secret challenger keeps defeating contestants to find the one strong enough to beat Geese.
**Gameplay Systems**
- **Basic Controls**: The game uses an 8-way joystick paired with four buttons: light punch, heavy punch, light kick, and heavy kick.
- **Two-plane System**: Characters can move and fight across two battle lines. Switching planes lets players dodge enemy attacks; they can also knock opponents to the other plane. Some stages have hazardous background elements, such as charging bulls.
