Shin Megami Tensei is a role-playing game released by Atlus for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) on October 30, 1992, marking the start of the Shin Megami Tensei series. It features first-person 3D dungeon exploration and turn-based combat. Players can negotiate with demons to recruit them as "allied demons" and create new ones via the fusion system. Set in Tokyo in 199X, the protagonist foresees mysterious events in dreams, then discovers a real-world demon invasion that plunges the world into chaos. Players must choose between the Law and Chaos factions, shaping the plot and ending. Its multiple endings and deep philosophical themes make it a classic.
