Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure is a side-scrolling action-platform game released by Activision in 1994. Players take on the role of Harry Jr., journeying through Mayan jungles in Central America to rescue his kidnapped father Harry Sr.—the protagonist of the previous game—from Zakelua, the evil spirit of a Mayan warrior. Blending action and platforming, the game lets players use weapons like whips, slingshots, and boomerangs to fight enemies and avoid traps and obstacles. Known for its stunning hand-drawn animation and smooth character movement, the animation was created by Kroyer Films, which worked on *FernGully: The Last Rainforest*.
