Mario's Early Years! Preschool Fun is an educational game developed and published by The Software Toolworks, designed for kids under 6 to learn basic knowledge. First released on MS-DOS in 1993, it launched for the Super Nintendo (SNES) in 1994. Players join Mario, Princess Peach (and Yoshi in the SNES version) on a wooden boat to visit islands themed around body parts, shapes, animal sounds, counting, opposites, colors, and more. It uses point-and-click gameplay, where kids tap screen objects to help characters complete learning tasks. Built on Super Mario World assets, it reuses character art and features rearranged classic tracks. As the third entry in the Mario's Early Years! series, it has similar gameplay to Alphabet Fun and Numbers Fun but covers broader, more comprehensive basic skills. It supports the SNES Mouse peripheral for more intuitive controls. By interacting with Mario and friends, kids learn and reinforce foundational skills in a fun, relaxed atmosphere, building early learning enthusiasm.
