Mecarobot Golf is an arcade-style golf game developed by Advance Communication Company and published by Toho in 1992 for the SNES. Set in a near-future course where robots face discrimination, the robot protagonist Eagle is banned from pro tournaments for his exceptional skills. A benefactor builds a course for him to practice, and players’ skills decide whether humans or robots excel at golf. It features multiple modes like course learning, driving range, and tournament mode to help players improve. In the Japanese version, it is endorsed by pro golfer Nobuo Serizawa and titled *Serizawa Nobuo no Birdy Try*, while the Western version replaces his likeness with the robot Eagle. Players can choose between two background music tracks: a simple, relaxing melody and a complex, tense one. At the start, players register a new save or use an existing one at "Hyper Golf Club" ("Lake Side Golf Club" in the Japanese version), with mid-round save support. Through practice and the driving range, players can increase their maximum drive distance, lower their handicap, and advance from novice to "Semi-Pro" or "Pro", the highest rank. In practice mode, emergency lesson tips are given if players are about to make a mistake. After the 13th hole, players take a boat to the 14th. Like most SNES golf games, it auto-selects clubs, and players aim and hit accurately, with four club sets available. The course’s seasons change with the in-game months. The Japanese version features all-male Japanese golfers as characters, while the Western version has a white "family" cast.
