King Arthur & the Knights of Justice is a 1995 SNES action-adventure game developed by Manley & Associates and published by Enix in North America. Based on the animated series of the same name, it follows a modern American football team transported to medieval England, who become the Knights of Justice tasked with rescuing King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. Players take on the role of team quarterback Arthur King, fighting alongside two AI-controlled knights. Each knight has unique weapons and stats including health, defense, strength, and speed. Players must solve puzzles and battle enemies to collect 12 Keys of Truth and free King Arthur and the Round Table knights from the evil witch Morgana. Featuring a top-down perspective, the game lets players use normal attacks and special skills against enemies, and block high and low attacks with a shield. A map function allows quick travel to explored areas. Since the game has no save feature, players use a password system to continue their progress. Though inspired by classics like The Legend of Zelda during development, the game received mixed reviews upon release. Some critics called it a mediocre imitation of Secret of Mana, noting its average graphics, sound, and story, with repetitive and unchallenging puzzles.
