Super Momotaro Dentetsu III is a simulation business game released by Hudson Soft on December 9, 1994, for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). As the third entry in the Momotaro Dentetsu series, it retains the core gameplay of previous titles: players take on the role of a railway company president, roll dice to travel along railways across Japan, and purchase local sightseeing spots and specialty properties. The goal is to accumulate the highest total assets within the set game duration. Players compete with rivals for limited resources, using various strategies and a card system to gain an edge. A unique feature is the "Poverty God" mechanic—when a player is farthest from the destination, they may be cursed by the Poverty God, leading to asset losses or other negative effects, which adds challenge and fun to the game. With its rich content and strategic depth, Super Momotaro Dentetsu III was a highly popular title at the time and laid a solid foundation for subsequent entries in the series.
