Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - Crossroads of Time is a 2D action-adventure game released in 1995 for the Super Nintendo (SNES) and Sega Genesis platforms. Developed by Novotrade International and published by Playmates Interactive Entertainment, it is adapted from the hit TV series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
Players mainly take on the role of Benjamin Sisko, commander of the Federation space station Deep Space Nine, and can also control other characters such as Dr. Julian Bashir, Major Kira Nerys, and the shapeshifter Odo. Game levels are split into Adventure mode and Action mode. In Adventure levels, players interact with NPCs on Deep Space Nine to advance the story; in Action levels, they climb platforms, stun enemies with phasers, and complete specific tasks within a time limit.
The plot centers on a Bajoran terrorist attack on Deep Space Nine. Players must uncover their conspiracy, with missions including defusing bombs and rescuing hostages. Players will also travel to the planet Bajor, pass through the wormhole, and even go on time travel. The game faithfully recreates the show’s settings and characters, making it a hit among Star Trek fans.
