Shanghai II: Dragon's Eye is a puzzle game released by Activision in 1990, serving as the sequel to the 1986 title Shanghai. Based on mahjong tiles, it features two core modes: classic single-player and Dragon's Eye mode. In single-player, players match and remove mahjong tile pairs from 12 pre-set layouts themed after the Chinese zodiac until the board is cleared, with 8 distinct tile sets adding variety. The Dragon's Eye mode is a two-player competitive mode where players take turns—one tries to remove all tiles while the other places tiles to block their progress. Initially launched for MS-DOS, the game was later ported to Macintosh, PC-98, MSX, FM Towns, Apple IIGS, Sharp X68000, Windows, Sega Genesis, and Super Nintendo, among other platforms.
