Mega Man 3: Dr. Wily's Final Hour!? is an FC platform action game released by Capcom on September 28, 1990, the third entry in the Mega Man series. After being defeated by Mega Man, Dr. Wily reforms and teams up with Dr. Light to build Gamma, a giant peacekeeping robot, and sends eight robots to an unknown planet to collect eight energy elements. However, the robots suddenly go rogue during the mission, and Gamma goes missing. Mega Man sets out to investigate with his support robot dog Rush. The game adds a new sliding move that greatly boosts Mega Man's mobility. It also introduces Rush, who can transform into multiple forms to help Mega Man navigate tricky terrain, plus "?" Canisters that drop random supply items when broken. Mega Man 3 is a major step up from its predecessor in graphics and gameplay, with more varied level design, higher difficulty, and the series' signature challenge.
