Jumbo Ozaki no Hole in One Professional is an NES golf simulation game developed by HAL Laboratory and released in Japan on January 31, 1988. It is themed around Japanese pro golfer Jumbo Ozaki, whose image appears on the title and cover but not directly in gameplay.
The game offers multiple modes: Stroke Match for solo practice with 36 holes across two courses, a two-player alternating match mode, and 1-day and 4-day modes against computer opponents. Players can also adjust difficulty and enable factors like wind effects.
It features a unique swing mechanic: players time button presses at the peak and bottom of the swing arc to control shot power and direction. Mistimed presses can send the ball off course.
One of HAL Laboratory’s golf titles, it was popular with players at the time. Its sequel, HAL's Hole in One Golf, launched for the Super Famicom in 1991, continuing the series’ signature style.
