Pokémon Snap is a first-person simulation game co-developed by HAL Laboratory and Pax Softnica, released by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64 in 1999. Players control protagonist Todd, ride an auto-moving vehicle through diverse levels, and take photos of wild Pokémon. The goal is to capture high-quality shots to document Pokémon ecology and complete the Pokémon Photo DEX. The game features 62 Pokémon species; players use items like apples and smoke balls to attract or guide Pokémon, capturing unique behaviors and poses. Photos are scored based on pose, size, orientation, and position, encouraging players to improve their photography skills. Widely praised upon release, it has become a childhood memory for many gamers.
