Ninja Gaiden is a side-scrolling action game released by Tecmo for the NES in 1988. Players control Ryu Hayabusa, a young ninja who travels to America to find his missing father, and uncovers the evil Jaquio organization’s plot to revive the demon Jashin using ancient statues. With 20 levels across 6 chapters, Ryu uses his katana and ninjutsu to fight enemies and stop the scheme. Known for smooth gameplay, rich story, and high difficulty, it’s a classic NES title.
