Romancia, also called *Prince's Adventure*, is a 1986 action-adventure game by Japan's Falcom, the third entry in the Dragon Slayer series. Initially released for PC-8801, PC-9801, MSX, X1, it was ported to the Famicom on October 30, 1987.
Set in a distant past, two small kingdoms—Romancia and Azorba—lie in a deep forest, ruled by brother kings in peace. One day, Romancia's Princess Selina is abducted by an unknown figure, plunging the kingdom into chaos with plague and monsters. Prince Fan Freddy of an eastern kingdom arrives during his travels and sets out to rescue her.
Players control Prince Fan Freddy, tasked with saving Princess Selina within 30 minutes. The side-scrolling game features combat, puzzles, and NPC interactions. It is notably difficult, requiring players to complete the quest within the time limit or restart.
Romancia is known for its cute character designs and high-difficulty gameplay. Though short, it is highly challenging and has drawn many players to test their skills.
