The Jungle Book is an action platformer made by a Japanese game developer, adapted from Rudyard Kipling’s classic novel of the same name. It follows Mowgli, an Indian boy raised by wolves, on his jungle adventures.
Players control Mowgli as he faces jungle challenges and foes like the man-eating tiger Shere Khan. Mowgli traverses the jungle, climbs vines, dodges dangers, fights wild animals, and finally reaches the human village.
Though an FC (NES) game, its graphics and action design were top-tier for the era, nearly matching SFC (SNES) and Sega Genesis quality. Blending action and puzzle elements that test players’ wit and reflexes, it is hailed as a classic.
Released in 1994, The Jungle Book has a file size of 1.22MB.
