Ido Yosuke Meijin no Jissen Mahjong is a mahjong game released by Capcom on September 24, 1987 for the Nintendo Famicom. Named after renowned Japanese mahjong master Yosuke Ido, it teaches and promotes a unique style called "riichi mahjong" or "attack mahjong".
What makes it stand out is its included special keyboard-shaped controller designed exclusively for mahjong gameplay. This controller is required to play the game — it cannot be played without it.
Players can choose from three modes: Single Match Mode, which lets you customize rules to your preference; Tournament Mode, where you play a series of matches against AI; and Quiz Mode, which challenges you to pick the correct tile to discard in specific hand scenarios.
As the first title in the Yosuke Ido mahjong series, it was a standout mahjong game of its era, offering both professional mahjong instruction and enhanced immersion and controls via its dedicated controller.
