Harley's Humongous Adventure is a 2D side-scrolling platform game developed by Visual Concepts and released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1993. Its Japanese title is *Kagakusha Harley no Haran Banjou*.
Players take on the role of Harley, a young scientist who accidentally shrinks himself to the size of a bar of soap during an experiment. To return to his normal size, Harley must search every room of his house to collect parts for his shrink ray. Game settings include the lab, kitchen, toy room, and bathroom, each filled with challenges and enemies.
Harley faces off against insects like flies, bees, and ants, plus a mutated giant rat. Players can use weapons such as thumbtacks, rubber bands, and marbles to attack foes. The game also features items like a jetpack, parachute, and air supply to help Harley navigate different environments.
It boasts a unique visual style blending pixel art and digitized clay animation. All character clay animation was created by A-OK Animation, which also worked on *Claymates*, another Super Nintendo game with a similar aesthetic.
With its one-of-a-kind visuals and creative level design, Harley's Humongous Adventure delivers a truly distinct gaming experience.
