Equinox is an action-adventure puzzle game developed by Software Creations and published by Sony Imagesoft, released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1993. As the sequel to the 1990 NES game Solstice, it retains the isometric puzzle style of its predecessor while adding more action-adventure elements and a Mode 7 world map. Players control protagonist Glendaal on a quest to rescue his father Shadax, who is imprisoned by his apprentice Sonia. The game features eight underground dungeons with 458 rooms, requiring players to collect 12 blue orbs, solve puzzles, defeat enemies, obtain keys, navigate platforms and obstacles, and battle powerful bosses.
