Daikaijuu Monogatari is a 1994 role-playing game developed by Birthday and published by Hudson Soft for the Super Famicom. A sequel to the 1988 Famicom title Kaijū Monogatari, it follows a fire-shell-bearing hero tasked with saving a disaster-stricken world from the awakened Dark Lord Fat Badger. Players can recruit up to 10 playable allies to battle villains like Dr. Doan and the Darkness Knight. Featuring classic turn-based combat, dungeon exploration, and a style reminiscent of the Dragon Quest series, it also includes a unique "Sket" support system. The game was a hit in Japan, spawning a 1996 sequel, Daikaijuu Monogatari II.
