Casper is an action-adventure game adapted from the 1995 film of the same name. Released in 1996 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), it was developed by Absolute Entertainment and published by Natsume Inc.
Players control Casper, the friendly ghost, who explores Whipstaff Manor alongside Kat Harvey. As a ghost, Casper can pass through walls and obstacles, but must always protect Kat from danger. If Casper strays too far, the villain Carrigan's ghost will kidnap her.
Featuring a top-down perspective, the game requires players to solve puzzles, collect special items, and use Casper's shapeshifting abilities to overcome obstacles and enemies. Mirrors allow fast travel around the manor, while power lines let Casper collect toys in outdoor areas.
With its unique gameplay mechanics and faithful adaptation of the film's plot, Casper remains a beloved classic on the SNES platform.
