Wild Guns is a 1994 shooting game developed and published by Natsume for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). Blending Western, steampunk, and sci-fi themes, it lets players control Annie or Clint, who move, jump, and dodge enemy fire in the foreground while shooting enemy robots in the background. Combining third-person shooter and light gun game elements, it features single-player and co-op modes across six levels, each with two stages, a miniboss, and a final boss on the third stage. Defeating enemies grants weapon upgrades like shotguns and machine guns to boost fire rate and damage. A gauge at the bottom of the screen fills as you hit enemies; when full, it unlocks the Vulcan Gun—the game’s most powerful weapon, granting invincibility and rapid fire for a limited time. The game was re-released on the Wii and Wii U Virtual Console in the 2010s, with an enhanced version, Wild Guns Reloaded, launching in 2017 with new characters, levels, and four-player co-op.
