Super Mario All-Stars is a 1993 Nintendo compilation for the Super NES, released to mark the Famicom’s 10th anniversary. It includes remakes of four classic titles: Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. USA, and Super Mario Bros. 3.
This version upgrades graphics and audio to 16-bit quality, with minor collision physics tweaks. It also adds a save feature so players can store progress anytime. Notably, since the "Super Mario Bros. 2" released for the Famicom in the West and Japan share a name but are different games, Japan renamed the Western version Super Mario Bros. USA, while the West titled the Japanese version Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels.
In 2010, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Super Mario Bros., Nintendo released a limited Wii port called Super Mario All-Stars 25th Anniversary Edition. In 2020, Nintendo announced the game would join the Super NES library on Nintendo Switch Online on September 3 for online play.
