S.O.S. (Japanese: Septentrion) is a survival adventure game developed by Human Entertainment. Released in Japan in 1993 and in North America by Vic Tokai in 1994, it draws inspiration from the 1969 novel and 1972 film *The Poseidon Adventure*. Set on September 13, 1921, players must escape the capsized ocean liner Lady Crithania within one hour after a massive wave overturns it. The game features four playable characters, each with unique backstories and skills. As the ship tilts and floods, players must find survivors and lead them to safety. Different endings unlock based on the number of survivors rescued and each character’s specific goals.
