Shounen Ninja Sasuke is a side-scrolling action-adventure game developed by Sunsoft, released for the Super Famicom on October 28, 1994. It supports single-player and co-op modes, following young ninja Sasuke and his monk friend Chin-nan on a quest to rescue a kidnapped princess from an evil warlord.
With gameplay similar to Konami’s *The Legend of the Mystical Ninja*, players battle hordes of enemies and tough bosses across vibrant, fast-paced levels. Featuring flashy combos, quirky enemy designs, and a fun, tense ninja world, it’s a great pick for fans of ninja-themed side-scrolling action games.
Originally planned for a North American release as *Boy Ninja Sasuke* (never launched), it will finally debut in the West in 2025 as *Justice Ninja Casey*, announced by Ratalaika Games and Sunsoft in October 2024.
