Racermate Challenge II is a cycling training simulation game developed by Seattle-based US company RacerMate for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in the early 1990s. Paired with RacerMate’s CompuTrainer system, it lets players connect a real bicycle to the NES console for indoor cycling training via gameplay. Players can create custom tracks and race against the computer or other players. Due to its professional focus and high price, Racermate Challenge II was not widely sold and had to be specially ordered through RacerMate. It is regarded as one of the early attempts to combine fitness with video games.
