Pro Yakyuu Nettou Puzzle Stadium is a puzzle game developed and published by Coconuts Japan Entertainment. It first launched for the Super Famicom in Japan on April 25, 1997, and came to PlayStation on May 7, 1998. It features officially licensed Nippon Professional Baseball mascots as playable characters, with authorized use of team names and mascot designs. Gameplay is similar to Puyo Puyo: players stack 4+ matching colored blocks to clear them, triggering chains to pressure opponents. It adds baseball-themed mechanics: one player is the "batter," the other the "pitcher," taking turns. Batters score by clearing blocks fast and chaining combos to fill bases; pitchers clear blocks quickly to switch to batting. Pitchers have an edge—garbage blocks vanish faster, forcing batters to act fast to score before roles swap. It supports single-player and 2-player versus modes, letting players pick their favorite team mascot.
