Major League Baseball is an NES baseball game developed by Atlus and published by LJN in 1988. Officially licensed by MLB, it features full rosters and jersey numbers for all 26 teams of the era. However, without MLBPA approval, players are identified only by number and stats instead of real names. Players can choose from regular season, All-Star Game, or World Series modes. The game emphasizes managerial decisions, letting users set lineups, pick pinch hitters, and select relief pitchers based on stats like batting average and home run totals. Though graphically limited by 1980s hardware, it was noted for its 3D-like effect and was featured in the first issue of Nintendo Power.
