The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is a 1998 action-adventure game released by Nintendo for the N64, the first 3D entry in the series. Players control Link, who adventures across the vast land of Hyrule to stop the evil Ganondorf’s plot. Blending RPG and puzzle elements with a third-person perspective, Link uses swords, shields, bows and other weapons, and plays specific melodies on an ocarina to solve puzzles or teleport. Its Z-targeting system makes combat smoother. Praised for its design and puzzles, it was the first game to earn a perfect score from leading Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu. In 2011, Nintendo released The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D for the 3DS, a high-definition remake with enhanced visuals and glasses-free 3D support for an improved experience.
