Lasalle Ishii's Child's Quest is a 1989 NES RPG released in Japan by Namco. Starring Japanese TV personality LaSalle Ishii, players act as a manager leading the 3-member idol group "Childs" on a nationwide tour to turn them into top stars. Gameplay resembles Dragon Quest but is set in modern Japan, involving negotiating with officials, raising funds, buying gear, and scheduling shows across the country. Its unique battle system has the whole group fight as one unit, with equipment affecting all members at once. Never released outside Japan, but fan-made English translation patches exist.
