King of Kings is a turn-based strategy game developed by Atlus and released by Namco for the Family Computer in Japan in 1988. Blending wargame elements, it features 22 controllable unit types including humans, elves, and dragons: humans have low defense, elves are low-cost, dragons (except lizardmen) are expensive, and other units combine traits of all three. The game offers a campaign mode with 4 maps where players fight a computer-led team commanded by Lucifer, plus a multiplayer mode for up to 4 players with 8 extra maps. It uses the Namco 163 wavetable audio chip, leveraging its 8 channels for rich sound effects.
