Ido Yosuke Meijin no Jissen Mahjong is a mahjong game released by Capcom for the Nintendo Famicom on September 24, 1987. Named after renowned Japanese mahjong master Yosuke Ido, it teaches and promotes a unique style called "riichi mahjong" or "attack mahjong".
A standout feature is its included special keyboard-shaped controller, designed exclusively for the game and required to play.
Game modes include single matches with customizable rules against AI, tournament mode with consecutive opponent challenges, and a quiz mode where players pick discard tiles for given hands.
As one of three third-party Famicom mahjong games Capcom developed in just two months in 1987, it stands out for its unique controller and distinct mahjong gameplay.
