Hydlide is a pioneering Action RPG developed by T&E Soft, and this 'Special Edition' for the NES brings the 1984 classic to the console. The story takes place in the Kingdom of Fairyland, where a young knight named Jim must recover three stolen jewels to restore peace and defeat the demon Boralis. The game is known for its early implementation of an open world and an active combat system. Players must explore, level up, and rescue Princess Anne, who has been split into three fairies. This localized version provides an accessible way to experience one of the foundational titles of the ARPG genre on the NES.
