Flying Warriors is an NES action game released by Culture Brain in North America in 1991, blending action, adventure, and RPG elements for a rich gameplay experience.
Players take on the role of Rick Stalker, who trains in kung fu under his master Gen Lao-Tsu. One day, Rick meets an angel who lost her robe in the mountains. After helping her retrieve it, he receives the mysterious Orb of Courage. His master tells Rick the orb is part of the Mandala Talisman, which once sealed the dark dimension demon Demonyx. With the appearance of the red evil star, Demonyx’s seal is about to break. Rick must find the other talisman fragments to seal Demonyx again.
The game features diverse combat systems, including kicks and fireball attacks in side-scrolling levels, plus one-on-one duels with Tusk Soldiers. In duels, players need to attack marks that appear on the opponent’s body or defend when marks show up. It also includes RPG-style command battles, where players can transform into a superhero form and use magic to attack enemies.
Flying Warriors was widely popular in North America and became a classic on the NES platform. Its varied gameplay and rich story make it stand out among action-adventure games, beloved by players.
