Doukyuusei 2 is a dating adventure game developed by Japanese studio elf. First released for the PC-98 platform in 1995, it was later ported to multiple systems including the Super Famicom (SFC), with its SFC version launching via the Nintendo Power service on December 1, 1997.
Players take on the role of a high school boy who interacts with 15 female characters of varying ages and backgrounds to pursue romance during the winter break before graduation (December 22 to January 6). Each character has a unique storyline and personality, and players must make dialogue choices to build their affection.
Featuring a non-linear narrative, the game offers highly free exploration and interaction, letting players live out romantic fantasies hard to achieve in real life. Due to adult themes in the original work, the Super Famicom version was suitably modified to appeal to a broader audience.
Praised for its exquisite art, rich character designs and innovative gameplay back in its day, Doukyuusei 2 is regarded as a classic of the dating adventure genre.
