Body Harvest is an action-shooter game developed by DMA Design (now Rockstar North) and released for the Nintendo 64 in 1998. Set in 2016, it follows aliens invading Earth every 25 years to harvest humans as organic material. Players control genetically modified soldier Adam Drake, who uses a time-travel device to go back in time and stop the invasion. The game spans five distinct historical eras and locations: World War I-era Greece, 1940s Java, 1960s America, 1990s Siberia, and the 2016 future world. Players can freely explore the open world, drive various vehicles, complete missions, and defeat alien enemies. As one of the early open-world games, Body Harvest had a profound impact on the development of later sandbox games.
