Square's Tom Sawyer is a rare RPG developed by Square (the creators of Final Fantasy) for the Famicom in 1989. Based on Mark Twain's classic novel, players follow Tom Sawyer and his friends on a quest for treasure along the Mississippi River. The game features a side-scrolling exploration view and a turn-based combat system based on HP, Power, and Speed. Notably scored by legendary composer Nobuo Uematsu, the game offers a unique RPG take on American literature. This version is a localized port compatible with modern emulators.
