Pac-Mania is a 1987 arcade game released by Namco, a brand-new 3D take on the classic Pac-Man. Played from an isometric view, players control Pac-Man to eat all dots in the maze while dodging five colored ghosts: Blinky (red), Pinky (pink), Inky (cyan), Clyde (orange), and Sue (purple). Unlike the original, Pac-Man can now jump to escape ghost chases. New ghosts Funky (green) and Spunky (gray) are added, with Spunky also able to jump for extra challenge. It features four unique maze themes: Block Town, Pac-Man's Park, Sandbox Land, and Jungly Steps, each with distinct designs and difficulty. Players must eat all dots within the time limit, using jumps and power pellets to score as high as possible. Well-received upon launch, it was ported to multiple home platforms including the NES and Sega Genesis.
