Meimon! Takonishi Ouendan - Kouha 6-nin Shuu is a Famicom strategy game developed by Graphic Research and published by Asmik on December 1, 1989. Adapted from the manga of the same name, it follows a young man who joins his school’s prestigious cheer squad.
Players move characters across a city map to compete for territory with rival cheer squads. When two teams meet, the game switches to a timing-based minigame where players must input commands before the opponent’s fist reaches their character’s avatar—the closer the fist, the higher the chance the enemy attacks first. Stronger attack options are listed lower in the menu, adding a risk-reward tradeoff.
After each battle victory, the player’s team levels up and may unlock new special attacks. These powerful moves occasionally appear in the attack menu.
Since the game was only released in Japan with no official localization, non-Japanese players may need translation tools or guides to experience its content.
