NES Open Tournament Golf is a golf game developed by Nintendo and released for the NES in 1991. As an early entry in the Mario Golf series, it lets players control Mario and other characters to compete on various courses. Gameplay simulates real golf, requiring players to account for wind and terrain, choose the right club and swing power to sink the ball. It features single-player and multiplayer modes for fun with friends. A classic sports title, it was beloved by players at the time and laid the groundwork for later Mario Golf games.
