DuckTales is an action platformer developed and published by Capcom in 1989 for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), based on the Disney animated series of the same name. Players control Scrooge McDuck, who travels the globe in search of five legendary treasures to expand his fortune. Scrooge uses his cane to attack enemies and pogo-stick jump to reach high places or cross hazards. The game features five levels set in the Amazon, the Himalayas, African Mines, the Moon, and Transylvania, which players can tackle in any order. Each level ends with a boss guarding a treasure, which is earned upon defeat. Praised for its vibrant graphics, tight controls, and open-ended level design, it is widely regarded as a classic NES title.
